20世纪60年代,法国达尼卡·塞莱丝柯维奇和玛丽亚娜.勒代雷提出探讨口译与非文学文本笔译原理与教学的翻译理论——释意理论,逐渐这个理论从口译也慢慢运用到了笔译当中。达尼卡·塞莱丝柯维奇和玛丽亚娜·勒代雷提出释意理论有三角模型,即翻译的三个步骤:理解,脱离原语言语言外壳和重新表达。而唐诗作为中华民族的一张文化名片,宣示着中华民族历史的悠久、文明的发达和艺术的精美。之所以会选择用释意理论来指导唐诗的翻译,是因为唐诗本身的特点和唐诗翻译的重点和难度,而释意理论和唐诗翻译又有相契合之处;举例分别说明,用三角模型中的某一方面来指导唐诗的法译,从而更好的传达诗人要表达的情感、意义。
