[Objective] To understand the situation of HBsAg and HBeAg carried by employees in food industry and public places in Hongqiao District of Tianjin and to provide the basis for health supervision of food and public places. [Methods] From 2006 to 2009, employees in food and public places who took health examination in Sanitary and Anti-disease Station of Tianjin Hongqiao District took 5 ~ 10ml of blood per person from the fasting venous blood separately. The serum was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) HBsAg, HBeAg. [Results] There were 89,715 employees in food and public places from 2006 to 2009, the positive rate of HBsAg was 3.02%, and the positive rate of HBsAg and HBeAg was 1.05%. There was a significant difference between the year and 2009, HBsAg, HBeAg positive rate than in 2006 ~ 2008 HBsAg, HBeAg positive rate decreased (χ2 = 18.719, P <0.01; χ2 = 19.031, P <0.01); 2009 There was no significant difference in the positive rate of HBsAg in all age groups (χ2 = 6.962, P = 0.138), while the positive rate of HBeAg in all age groups decreased with age (χ2 = 80.830, P = 0.000). [Conclusion] The HBsAg positive rate of employees in food and public places in Hongqiao District of Tianjin was 3.02%, far lower than the national average (9.78%). It is suggested to strengthen the hygiene supervision of food and public places, to do well in publicity and education Pre-job health knowledge training and health examination, focusing on monitoring and protection of 17 to 30-year-old population, and susceptible populations for hepatitis B vaccination.
