目的探讨血管内皮生长因子C(vascular endothelial growth factor C,VEGF-C)在胰腺癌淋巴管生成及其与淋巴结转移中的作用。
Objective To investigate the role of vascular endothelial growth factor C (VEGF-C) in lymphangiogenesis and lymph node metastasis in pancreatic cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of VEGF-C in 42 specimens of pancreatic cancer and 10 specimens of normal pancreas. The microlymphatic vessel density (MLVD) was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results The positive rate of VEGF-C in pancreatic cancer was 64.3%, which was significantly higher than that in the normal control group (P <0.05). The MLVD of pancreatic cancer was 21.93 ± 6.39, which was significantly higher than that of the normal control Group (4.40 ± 2.07, P <0.001). The expression of VEGF-C was positively correlated with MLVD and lymph node metastasis (P <0.05). Conclusion VEGF-C plays an important role in lymphangiogenesis and lymph node metastasis in pancreatic cancer.
