主要对当前我国尾矿库的安全现状及特点、尾矿库溃坝机理和溃后泥石流的演进特性进行了综述。在尾矿库溃坝模式方面,尾矿库因漫顶而导致的溃坝属于溢流侵蚀型,因浸润线过高导致的溃坝属于逆流渐进破坏型。尾矿库溃后下泄泥石流的沿程速度变化、冲击力大小和堆积厚度是溃后下泄泥石流演进规律的主要研究重点,三者的变化主要与坝高、溃口形态、不同断面距离坝体距离等因素有关。
