In this paper, a gas field in the Netherlands is taken as an example to illustrate the qualitative analysis method used to predict the lateral extension of gas fields and the porosity of gas reservoirs. This is a multidisciplinary and comprehensive study that includes geophysical, geophysical and petroleum physics.
