宫颈癌是最常见妇科恶性肿瘤之一,发病与人乳头瘤病毒(human papillomavirus,HPV)感染密切相关,其中HPV16/18型最常见。脆性组氨酸三联体(fragile histidine triad,FHIT)基因是近年在染色体3p区域发现的候选抑癌基因,在人类许多肿瘤组织和细胞系中表现为高频率缺失和异常转录。FHIT基因可被HPV插入整合,这二者之间可能存在某种关联而共同参与宫颈癌的发病,因此FHIT基因及蛋白表达的检测有望和HPV一起作为宫颈癌早期诊断和基因治疗的工具。
Cervical cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies. The incidence is closely related to human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, of which HPV16 / 18 is the most common. Fragile histidine triad (FHIT) gene is a candidate tumor suppressor gene found in chromosome 3p region in recent years, which shows high frequency deletion and abnormal transcription in many human tumor tissues and cell lines. FHIT gene can be inserted and integrated by HPV. There may be some correlation between FHIT gene and cervical cancer. Therefore, the detection of FHIT gene and protein expression is expected to be used together with HPV as a tool for early diagnosis and gene therapy of cervical cancer.
