Lamprey is the most primitive jawless vertebrates.It is a ‘living fossil’ and ideal model animal for vertebrate origin and evolution study [1-3].In recent years,these eel-like fishes were highly valued by immunologists,since it was found that they possess a unique adaptive immune system-variable lymphocyte receptors for antigen recognition [4,5].
