Historically, one of the biggest opportunities for Chinese immigrants was the great earthquake that took place in San Francisco in 1906. It destroyed the city’s birth record. In the absence of a valid certificate, a large number of Chinese can claim that they were born in the United States and are therefore American citizens. When things are bought, they do just that. More importantly, all their children, even those born in China, have also acquired American citizenship. Chinese life is still subject to great constraints, living conditions are also very simple. They live in San Francisco’s enclave (on foreign land within a country). The area is known as the “Grand Palace” - a big city. Sacramento is “B House” - second-tier cities. Bachelors 10-12 people live in a house, a few share a kitchen and a toilet. They can not find a house elsewhere, because whites do not sell or rent
