经初步试验表明:在林业育苗上应用“九二○”、“七○二”和“增产灵”等植物激素,只要处理方法得当,使用浓度适宜,掌握好用药时机,均能取得良好效果。浸种处理林木种子,可以打破种子休眠,促进种子萌发,不仅能提高场圃发芽率和发芽势,而且也能使幼苗生育健壮。叶面喷洒处理针、阔叶树播种苗,可以起到明显的促进生长作用。如落叶松播种苗以100ppm“九二○”叶面喷洒处理,与对照区比较,苗高增长27.9%,地径增长27.3%,主根长增长1倍多,侧根发达,鲜重增加(1/2)以上。苗木高大、粗壮,报系发育良好,大部分可当年出圃。植物激素的应用效果,受很多因素的影响,其中主要的是使用浓度,通常在适宜的浓度范围内,效果随着浓度的增大而增加。当超过适宜的浓度界限,不仅效果不明显,反而产生抑制作用。一般说来,林木种子较农作物种子浸种浓度要求高些,短期休眠的种子较长期休眠的种子要求低些,经过层积催芽的种子较未经催芽的干种子要求低些。但浸种浓度不宜超过50ppm。通常叶面喷洒处理浓度,阔叶树播种苗较针叶树播种苗要求低些,针叶树播种苗中生长快的较生长缓慢的要求浓度低些。

Short-term dormancy seeds require less seeds than long-term dormancy seeds, and stratified germination seeds are less demanding than non-germinated dry seeds. However, soaking concentration should not exceed 50ppm. Usually foliar spray concentration, broad-leaved tree seedlings planted softwood less conifers, softwood seedlings grow faster than the slower growth required concentration lower.
