目的探讨基质金属蛋白酶-9(matrix metalloproteinase9,MMP-9)和血管内皮生长因子(vascular endothelial growth factor,VEGF)在造釉细胞型颅咽管瘤中的表达及其与肿瘤侵袭、复发的相关性。方法应用免疫组化法对40例造釉细胞型颅咽管瘤标本(原发组24例,复发组16例)中MMP-9和VEGF的表达进行检测。结果 MMP-9在复发组造釉细胞型颅咽管瘤中的总阳性表达率93.7%,明显高于原发组总阳性率41.7%(P<0.05);VEGF在复发组造釉细胞型颅咽管瘤中的总阳性表达率87.5%,明显高于原发组总阳性率45.8%(P<0.05)。复发组釉质型颅咽管瘤中MMP-9与VEGF表达呈正相关(P<0.05),原发组造釉细胞型颅咽管瘤中MMP-9与VEGF表达无明显相关性。结论 MMP-9和VEGF可能在造釉细胞型颅咽管瘤侵袭生长和肿瘤复发过程中扮演着重要的角色,并可能存在协同作用。MMP-9和VEGF可能成为评价造釉细胞型颅咽管瘤侵袭性生长和复发倾向的重要参考指标。
Objective To investigate the expression of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in glaucoma craniopharyngioma and its correlation with tumor invasion and recurrence . Methods The expressions of MMP-9 and VEGF in 40 specimens of glaucoma craniopharyngioma (24 cases in primary group and 16 cases in recurrent group) were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The total positive expression rate of MMP-9 in recurrence group was 93.7%, which was significantly higher than that of the primary group (41.7%, P <0.05). The expression of VEGF in the recurrence group was higher than that of the ameloblastoma The total positive expression rate of pharyngotomy was 87.5%, which was significantly higher than that of the primary group (45.8%, P <0.05). There was a positive correlation between the expression of MMP-9 and VEGF in recurrent group of enamel type craniopharyngioma (P <0.05). There was no significant correlation between the expression of MMP-9 and VEGF in primary glaucoma craniopharyngioma. Conclusion MMP-9 and VEGF may play an important role in the invasion and growth of enamel-type craniopharyngiomas and tumor recurrence and may have synergistic effects. MMP-9 and VEGF may be important reference indicators for evaluating invasive growth and recurrence of glaucoma-type craniopharyngioma.
