把马列著作译成中文不是简单的文字搬家,而是一项严肃的科学工作。我们中央编译局一贯强调翻译一定要忠于原文,翻译必须和研究相结合,在弄清原著思想的基础上,用规范化的汉语把原著准确地翻译过来。我们一贯是这样做的。但是,马恩著作内容艰深,译者因限于自己的水平常有误译或不确切地翻译。因此,我们自己在不断改进自己的译文,同时我们也十分欢迎读者提出批评,这对我们提高译文质量很有帮助。但是,有的学者从个人的理解或者从我国现行政策出发来解读马恩原著,从而对译文提出批评。有些批评是不公允的。这里我只谈一个例子,就是关于《共产党宣言》中“消灭私有制”的译法问题。 Translating Marxism-Leninism into Chinese is not a simple text move, but rather a serious scientific work. Our Central Bureau of Translation and Interpretation has always stressed that translation must be faithful to the original text. Translation must be combined with research. On the basis of understanding the original ideas, we translate the original accurately with standardized Chinese. We have always done this. However, the content of Marne’s works is so complicated that translators often mistranslate or imprecisely translate due to their own level. Therefore, we are constantly improving our own translations. At the same time, we also welcome readers’ criticisms. This helps us to improve the quality of translations. However, some scholars interpret the original Manor by personal understanding or from the current policy of our country, thus criticizing the translation. Some criticisms are not fair. Here I will only talk about one example. It is about the issue of the translation of the “Elimination of Private Ownership” in the Manifesto of the Communist Party.
