古宗智(1931-2011年),贵州著名民族音乐学/音乐人类学家,贵州大学艺术学院资深学者。曾任贵州省音协主席、贵州民族音乐研究会会长、贵州省音乐教育研究会顾问。他把毕生精力和心血献给了贵州民族音乐的研究和教学工作,为贵州民族音乐学/音乐人类学学科建设与发展做出了重要的贡献,是贵州民族音乐学学科建设的先行者和推动者。他参加全国《民族音乐概论》(1960-1961年)编写,在贵州率先开设《民族音乐概论》课程(1961年,贵大),主要负责贵州艺校(专)“民族民间音乐研究组(室)”(1977-1990年)工作,促成“贵州民族音乐研究会”(1987年)成立,推动中国少数民族音乐学会三次会议(1984年首届,1997第七届,2002第九届)在贵州召开;他编译《民族音乐学各家言》、译著《EML理论/方法/应用》和《美国印第安音乐与舞蹈》,搭建中西音乐研究理论的桥梁,具有高屋建瓴的远见卓识;他在退休之年,还被选为贵州音协主席(1995-2003年),担当大任两届;他一心牵挂贵州民族音乐学的发展,70多岁还身体力行译注美国加利福尼亚大学洛杉矶分校民族音乐学系、所为研究生开出的书目,牵挂到生命的最后时刻……
Gu Zongzhi (1931-2011), Guizhou famous ethnomusicology / music anthropologist, Guizhou University Art Institute senior scholar. Served as chairman of Guizhou Province Audio Society, Guizhou National Music Research Association, Guizhou province music education consultant. He is mainly responsible for the Guizhou Folk Arts Research Institute (National) Folk Music Research Group (1977-1990), contributed to the establishment of Guizhou Ethnic Music Research Society (1987), and the promotion of the three sessions of the Chinese Minority Music Society (first session in 1984, seventh session in 1997, ninth session in 2002 He was compiled in Guizhou; he compiled “Each Language of Ethnomusicology” and translated “EML Theory / Method / Application” and “American Indian Music and Dance” to build a bridge between Chinese and Western music theory; In his retirement year, he was also elected as Chairman of Guizhou Audio-Acoustic Association (1995-2003), serving as president for two terms.
