我国的人民陪审员制度是我国的基本诉讼制度之一,在其发展的80多年间,为提高我国公民的法制意识和法律适用能力,维护社会法治,保障司法公正、民主起到了积极作用。但是在新的形势下,人民陪审员制度也展现出了不足与缺陷,陪审员制度该如何与时俱进,更好地为我国的社会主义民主法治建设服务是个值得思考的问题。 China’s people’s jury system is one of the basic litigation systems in our country. During its 80 years of development, it has played an active role in raising the awareness of law and legal ability of our citizens and in safeguarding the social rule of law and in ensuring judicial fairness and democracy. However, under the new situation, the system of people’s jurors also shows their shortcomings and deficiencies. It is a question worth considering that how the jury system should keep pace with the times and how to better serve the socialist democracy and the rule of law in our country.
