9例双侧甲状腺癌采用全甲状腺双侧颈清扫联合根治术治疗，术后标本病理学检查，双侧颈淋巴结转移77．8％，说明对双侧甲状腺癌施行全甲状腺加双侧颈清扫联合根治术是必要的。手术时必须解剖清楚，尽量做功能性颈清扫，至少保留一侧颈内静脉。同时注意喉返神经，甲状旁腺的保留，不仅达到根治性切除的目的，而且对术后颈部外形和功能恢复更为满意。
Nine cases of bilateral thyroid cancer were treated with total thyroid bilateral neck dissection combined with pathological examination. The bilateral cervical lymph node metastases were 77.8%. This indicated that bilateral thyroid cancer was treated with total thyroid plus bilateral neck dissection. Radical surgery is necessary. The operation must be dissected clearly and functional neck dissection should be performed as far as possible, leaving at least one internal jugular vein. At the same time, attention is paid to the recurrent laryngeal nerve and the preservation of the parathyroid gland, which not only achieves the goal of radical resection, but also is more satisfactory for the recovery of neck shape and function after operation.
