现代红外技术是一门新兴的综合性学科,它是以红外物理学、红外光电技术和微型计算机技术为基础,以红外辐射作为能量和信息传递的手段,广泛应用于军事、空间技术、工业、农业、医学等领域。从90年代以后,我国将红外技术作为一种重要的检测手段应用于电气防火安全检测工作中,取得了显著成果。 在电气设备正常运行中,由于电流、电压效应会产生热量。当电气设备发生故障时,缺陷部位将会有异常发热,使设备在危险温度下运行,带来火灾隐患。目前大部分用电单位都是低压大电流的电气设备,一旦电气设备出现故障就容易引起高温。同时,电气设备接点的接触不良会引起高温、打火、电弧,容易成为火灾的点火源,形成火灾隐患。类似这种危险温度和隐患温升通常是不易检查发现的,但在红外技术面前,它们将无处藏身。
