商代中期腰坑葬俗在中原逐渐盛行,随着商王朝的统治、征伐及文化交流,流行于关中、海岱、长江中下游地区。山东地区腰坑墓最早出现于商代中期的大辛庄遗址,此后直至战国中期出现了兴盛、消衰、重新盛行、逐渐消失的曲折的过程。而这些变化是中原文化与东夷文化的不同的交流方式带来的。
In the mid Shang Dynasty, the burial custom of Yaokeng gradually became popular in central China. With the reign and expedition of the Shang dynasty and cultural exchanges, it was popular in Guanzhong, Haidai and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The tombs of waist tombs in Shandong Province first appeared in the Daxinzhuang site in the middle Shang Dynasty, and there was no twists and turns until prosperity, decline, re-prevalence and disappearance in the middle of the Warring States period. These changes are brought by the different ways of communication between the Central Plains culture and Dongyi culture.
