Enhancing Law Enforcement and Enhancing the Sound Development of Archives Cause Our 20 th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People’s Congress passed the celebration of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress on amending the “Archives Law of the People’s Republic of China.” This is yet another major measure for strengthening the legal construction of archives since the promulgation of the “Archives Law of the People’s Republic of China” in 1987, which is also the supreme power of the country.
