Through Celan’s poetics and Levinas’s interpretation, this article tries to present a poetic connotation that is different from the romantic tradition, that is, the poem as an open to others. This article first explores the connection between Celan’s poetry and Levinas’s philosophy: how to reconstruct the subject after Auschwitz’s traumatic memory; and then to discuss that “secret poetry” in Cezanne means darkness and obscurity , As it means that the “I” to the “you” mysterious open adventure. Finally, through the analysis of Levinas, this article shows how Celan poetics transcends romanticism in particular, and especially transcends Heidegger’s existential poetics.
