The Tang era was an era renowned for its time reserved for the music.The Tang music was famous with rich patterns and many and varied kinds in history.There were ten popular music sections in the Tang Dynasty, among which Qiuci music was the most melodious one.Qiuci music came from the Western Regions of China while Qiuci Country is the present Tian and Kuche within the region of Xinjiang.The dances here were striking and the music was exquisite and pleasant to listen to.The music and dancers were full of landscapes of foreign countries.When they were introduced to the Central Plains, they accepted wide popularity among the emperors, nobles, and ordinary people.Xi Liang Yue, another kind of music genres within the ten music sections, was formed on the further integration basis of Qiuci music and music of Central China.Xi Liang Yue has integrated their advantages.These two kinds of music and dances in the Western Regions during Tang Dynasty have important influences on the formation of the current Uygur dances.
