The monoclonal antibody D32.10, raised against serum-derived Hepatitis C virus (HCVsp), recognizes a highly conserved discontinuous antigenic determinant: E1 (aa297-306), E2(aa480-494 and E2(aa613-621) expressed on the surface of HCVsp from the main genotypes 1a, 1b, 2a, 3a.For screening the mAb D32.10 as antiviral agent, we studied virus-cell interactions using HCVsp and the HepaRG cells which possess potent ability to acquire a mature hepatocyte phenotype, and we investigated the clinical relevance of anti-E1E2A,B immune response in the serum of patients infected with HCV.
