Inertial microfuidics has been attracting much interest for the size-based trapping of particles or cells in numerous basic biological studies and clinical applications.In this study,using a high-speed microscopic imaging system,besides the conventional form of particle lateral migration trapping,we also observed a new form of particle trapping phenomenon,namely the collision trapping.These two different forms of particle trapping were compared and analyzed under different flow rates with the Reynolds number varying from 20 to 400 in different rectangular microcavities.
