Heterogeneous catalysis with gold nanoparticles draws considerable interests in the past two decades.Generally, gold surfaces can activate the promotion of benzene hydrogenation addition. However, unwanted reaction byproduct on the catalytic surface are difficult to separate and purify. It still remains a formidable challenge to make Au nanoparticles both take in catalytic efficiently and selectivity.
