Objective:The pursuit of improvement in the quality of patient care drives clinical medical practice; however the quality of perfusion management is rarely assessed in detail and not regularly reported.Institutional protocols define clinical practice within the work environment however adherence to protocols is difficult to monitor.The aim of this report was to assess the value of the introduction of our quality control (QC) and continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs into our clinical perfusion practice.Methods:Data from 980 consecutive cases are reported.
