P.cornutum,a biennial plant in Cruciferae Pugionium,is a versatile sandy vegetable,which is also used for herbs,feeding and binding-sand,and it was proper species in China.A new variety "sha zhen J-1" was bred by Inner mongolia key laboratory of germplasm resource and germplasm enhancement of wild and special vegetable,and was examined and approved by Inner Mongolia Variety Evaluation Committee in April 2007.Compared with wild species,it was provided with the characteristic of high yield,wide and deep leaf and greener leaf.This new variety could fill up the blankness of domestication,breeding and cultivation of Allium mongolicum,and enrich the varieties of vegetables.
