The current death rate of cancer is comparable with that in 50 years ago, though numerous progresses havebeen achieved in the classic ways of cancer therapeutics. It is still far away from the human dream on curing cancer diseases1.It is unlikely for a significant increase in the cancer cure rate or early diagnosis to be achieved unless new technologies can be developed.Engineered nanoparticles provide for a robust platform that shows numerous advantages for cancer therapy compared to the cancer chemotherapeutics with conventional medicine of small molecules.
