　　Multiscale stabilization methods like the SUPG and the VMS were developed for advection-diffusion equations,and then applied to general problems including multiscale and porous media problems.Raviart-Thomas elements were developed to satisfy the discrete inf-sup stability condition,recently the discrete differential theory has established the requirements to fulfill this condition.
