  牛筋果(Harrisonia perforata(Blanco)Merr.)为苦木科(Simaroubaceae)牛筋果属植物,其根、茎、叶均可入药,味苦,性寒,有清热解毒、截疟的功能,主要用于治疗疟疾、疮痈及肝热目赤肿痛等.
