Intrathecal infusion via an implantable pump is a treatment modality for severely disabling spasticity, malignant and non-malignant pain of spinal, supraspinal or peripheral origin.The present study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and long-term benefit of chronic drug administration via an intrathecal pump system and to compare drug-related and delivery device-related complications between these three patient groups.
