　　HIV-1 associated dementia (HIV dementia) is one of the most common neurological manifestations of advanced HIV infection.HIV dementia is characterized by disabling cognitive,behavioral,and motor dysfunction.HIV dementia has a major impact on quality of life,and is predictive of poor survival in patients with HIV infection.
