简·里斯的《藻海无边》让疯女人伯莎·梅森由边缘走向中心,讲述其何以变疯的故事,故而对维多利亚时期的经典作品《简·爱》进行了颠覆性叙事重构。本文从叙事学的角度人手,分析《藻海无边》与《简·爱》在“疯女人”处理问题上所采用的不同叙事手法,揭示基于不同叙事策略所造成的“禁闭”与“开放”的不同效果,并进而将《藻海无边》对《简·爱》的“改写”放到后现代语境下考察,阐释其经典颠覆与叙事重构的意义所在。
