Rockburst and coal and gas outburst are the most serious coal and rock dynamic hazards,using SOS microseismic monitoring system to analyze and compare the similarities and differences between rockburst and outburst,for providing theoretical basis of monitoring and prediction in case of rockburst and outburst.The purpose for the analysis of microseismic signal is to distinguish different kinds of waves and their characteristics generated by different reasons correctly,therefore,the main waveform characteristic of microseismic signal is morphological feature and frequency-spectrum characters.Based on the practical situations of rockburst and outburst in coal mines,the conclusion can be proposed as: the wave and spectrum of rockbusrt and outburst are similar in many aspects,but the duration,signal band distribution and velocity amplitude are visible different.The most important distinct between coal and gas outburst and rockburst events was the main microsesmic signal of outburst.According to the fractal theoretical study on the process of rockburst and outburst,the fractal dimension of rockburst and outburst showed more significant differences,and the fractal dimension of different energy rockburst events showed same characteristic.It is significant for the forecast and prevention of rockburst and outburst based on the analysis of the microseismic signals and fractal characteristics in rockburst and outburst events.
