Preparation and Properties of Rare-earth Doped Luminescent Glass Films

  Using commercial Lower melting point glass powers, Ce∶YAG phosphor powder and acrylic resin as raw materials, Ce∶YAG quartz glass phosphor films for high-power white LED have been successfully prepared through silk-screen printing and low-temperature melt-quenching method.The as-prepared Ce∶YAG glass phosphor films were studied by thermal gravimetric analysis, differential thermal analysis, FT-IR spectrograph, X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence spectrum and so on.The results showed that the crystal structure of Ce∶YAG phosphor films was not destroyed after sintering and glassy phase was still the major phase in glass phosphor;it is also found that the stability and luminescent effect of the samples has maintained the basic properties of ordinary glass and was easy to obtain.In particular, its melting-point was significantly lower than ordinary glass.The research results indicated that the Ce∶YAG glass phosphor films can be a novel promising phosphor for packing material of high-power white LED.
