Introduction Yersinia pseudotuberculosis is a widespread enteric pathogen that can infect a wide range of animals, including humans.The aims of this work were to genotype Y.pseudotuberculosis strains through multiple locus variable number tandem repeats analysis (MLVA) and to compare the closely related species Y.pestis and Y.similis using a procedure based on combined real-time PCR (qPCR) and high-resolution melting analysis (HRMA).
