成年大鼠少突胶质细胞中的Nogo-A蛋白具有抑制神经元轴突生长的作用，在发育过程中Nogo-A在神经元中有广泛的分布，而神经元中的Nogo-A蛋白在大鼠成年之后表达越来越少，但在背根神经节中，却依然有较高的表达，提示Nogo-A蛋白很可能参与了痛觉信息的调控过程。
