Functional nanomaterials have found broad applications in many areas. To prepare functional nanomaterials,various approaches have been successfully developed.Among them,biomolecules-directed approach has been extensively studied to synthesize a variety of nanomaterials due to their unique features,such as programmability,self-assembly and recognition capabilities.In particular,proteins provide several distinct advantages over other biomolecules for nanomaterials fabrications,including their nanoscale sizes,distinctive molecular structures,diverse functionalities,specific biorecognition,and various self-assembly abilities.
