Objective:Inhibition of Na+/H+ exchanger isoform-1 (NHE1) has shown a great protection to mature myocardium subjected to ischemia/reperfusion.However,the effect is unclear in immature myocardium.The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of HOE642 preconditioning in immature rabbit heart.Methods:Twenty isolated immature white New Zealand rabbit heart (2 ~ 3 weeks old) were established on the Langendorff apparatus and were randomly divided into 2 groups:(1) the control group (n=10); (2) the HOE642 preconditioning group (HOE642 group).
