@@ In this presentation,we want to focus on the role that religious instruction has had andcontinues to have in Norwegian education.Dating back to the 1940s.traditional sochldemocratic values have been linked to religion in both educational law and the Norwegiancurriculum.Our research question relates to how far thisjuxtaposition between democraticvalues and religion can be said to be valid today.This analysis will be based upon textmllvoriented studies of relevant policy documents,the curriculum,and educational materials.
