In southern Sichuan, such as Pixian, Xingwen and Junlian, ancient coffins have been preserved so far, commonly known as “coffins.” On the basis of the 1954 census of cultural relics, in 1956 the Sichuan Provincial People’s Committee officially “悬 people hanging coffin ” in the name of Juxian Victory Township, Xingwen County Jianwu Township coffin, as provincial-level units of cultural relics protection. Since then, “hanging coffin ” a name has become the scientific name has been widely used. Foreign newspaper, foreign journal, in recent years have also been reported “hanging coffin ” situation. However, in the author’s opinion, the owner of such a coffin is not a human being. Therefore, it is necessary to have a proper name. Otherwise, this fallacy will continue and will be deferred to people. Because of the southern coffin funeral several issues dialectical, hoping to arouse the attention of academics, and find their way in the comrades.
