Al-Si alloys with Si content more than 13％ are hypereutectic alloys.In recent years, these alloys have gathered great attention due to their excellent properties in the transportation industry.The properties of the hypereutectic alloys are greatly dependent on the morphology, size and distribution of primary and eutectic silicon crystal.In this study, Al-15％Si billet was fabricated by continuous casting with the simultaneous refinement and modification of the primary and eutectic silicon.
