Carbon monoxide (CO) is believed to be an essential signaling molecule like nitric oxide (NO).1 It can play important physiological role in human body, for example, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic and anti-proliferative and so on.Metal-carbonyl complexes have been explored as CO releasing molecules (CORMs).
