The hydrodynamic cavitation water treatment process can effectively remove organic matter and microorganisms based on the reaction mechanism of cavitation.Removal effectiveness is related to process time and temperature: the effectiveness will be improved with the increase of time and temperature.Under the experimental conditions, the Color removal rate was more than f80.0%, COD removal rate was 72.13%, petroleum pollutant removal rate was 70.00%, and E.coli removal rate was exceeded than 99.99%.As a new water treatment process, hydrodynamic cavitation process can be utilized individually or in combination with other water treatment process, which has broad application prospects.
