@@The Kailash Sacred Landscape (KSL) with an area of over 31,000 sq.km encompasses a remote south-western portion of the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) of China, adjacent areas of north-western Nepal, and a small portion of northern part of India (Figure 1). The landscape is exceptionally rich in natural and cultural heritage and includes the highly revered and sacred Mount Kailash. Over the last four years ICIMOD has been working on this trans-boundary landscape in collaboration with its member countries of China, India and Nepal.
