Polystyrene-based stationary phases have been proved to be an excellent stationary phase with outstanding chemical stability in a broad pH range, which have widely used for the separation supports in separation field.Initiation by conventional heating presents the disadvantage of long reaction time due to the slow transfer of heat, while photo-polymerization necessitated use of capillaries with UV-transparent outer coatings tend to be more expensive than conventional polyimide-coated capillaries.Compared with conventional means, microwave heating has the advantages of being volumetric, direct, selective and instantaneously controllable.Microwaves can penetrate the material placed inside its fields.All the moleculars of material are subject to the electromagnetic field, although the field strength decreases as it gets deeper into the material.
