As a most fundamental way in altering the chemical or physical properties, copolymerization essentially contributes to broaden the applications of polypropylene.The crystalline structure and properties of polypropylene copolymers can be further modified by adding β-nucleating agent.1,2 The β-nucleated propylene-ethylene random copolymers (P-E random copolymer) have been widely used as hot water pipes.In most industrial processing methods, the polymer melt is exposed to shear flow which can enhance the crystallization of polypropylene3-5.
