The effect of electrostatic force on particle-wall interaction was studied by the airflow method. The particles were negatively charged using a corona gun and deposited on the surface of a flat metal piece, and then were entrained by the airflow in a rectangle channel provided with parallel electrodes. The air velocity increased at a constant rate, and the entrained particles were detected with a laser dust monitor.Relationships between particle entrainment efficiency and air velocity, which were used for evaluating the particle-wall interaction force distributions, were obtained under various conditions.
