The physical and chemical characteristics of functional graphene structures are closely related to their dimensionality and therefore novel properties could potentially emerge from the dfinensional confinement and/or benefit. In this regard, we have focused on development of new method and techniques for dimension-tailed fabrications of functional graphene architectures.Zero-dimensional (0D) graphene quantum dots, macroscopic 1D graphene fibers, 2D graphene films and 3D graphene frameworks have been systematically prepared through various strategies such as electrochemical cutting and dimension-confmed assembly.New properties and unconventional applications of dimension-defined graphene structures in energy-conversion and-storage devices have been revealed. This work will present the new insight on the graphene manufacture based on the dimensionality for practical applications.
