This paper numerically studies effects of design parameters on the thermal performance and flow resistance under forced convection of three-dimensional rectangular minichannel with short elliptical porous pin fins.The Forchheimer-Brinkman extended Darcy model and two-equation energy model are adopted to describe the flow and heat transfer in porous media.Pore density (10≤PPI≤50), fin metal materials, height and the direction of major axis are studied in detail and water is employed as the cold fluid.
