Objective:Heart failure (HF) is a kind of chronic cardiovascular disease threatening the public health.According to the new standard of chronic heart failure in 2009 ACC/AHA, stage A and B HF are dassified as early-stage HF,complicated with cardiometabolic risk factors or organic changes but asyrnptomatic.Inflammation and reactive oxygen species (ROS) exert important effect on the pathogenesis of HF, but the relationship between cardiometabolic risk factors and inflammation / ROS were not clear.Previous studies have demonstrated that peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) are important immune and inflammatory cells and mitochondria are related to the production of inflammation and ROS, but whether the mitochondrial respiratory function of PBMCs plays a role in cardiometabolic risk factors-mediated inflammation / ROS in early-stage HF remains unclear.
