English teachers know that students learn well when teaching materials are relevant to their real needs to use the language.An important need for graduate students in science and technology (S&T) fields is English for writing research articles for submission to international refereed journals,but courses to address this need in specific and effective ways are not yet a strong feature of the College English scene.Over 9 years we have worked together to understand and address this lack,working with both S&T academics and English specialists.
