Objective:The accumulation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) is suggested playing a role in the pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease.The aim of this study is to examine whether skin AGEs accumulation estimated with a novel noninvasive autofluorescence method is associated with plasma AGEs concentration, and whether both AGEs are elevated in hypertensive and diabetic patients.
